Ready to Run?

Tomorrow morning I will be attempting half marathon #3. The weather looks promising and I am lucky enough to have a few family and friends cheering me on along the way. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

To bed, to sleep and to not dream of running.

Oh Imogen!

Imogen Heap! How I love her! (see evidence above) On Imogen's vBlog last week she said that the first new song from her album had been illegally recorded at Pop!Tech. I spent a bit of work search for the song, but it was well work it! It's here, and it's amazing. Watch it while you can.

Cleaning and Discovering

This evening I've been cleaning the house, my room, and trying to minimize the stuff packed away in my closets (yay Friday night!). Thus far it's been somewhat productive. I've pulled together a bag of clothes for the fall clothing exchange we're doing next weekend, packed up a couple things to mail to my cousins, and gathered a large bag of recycling.

Amid the papers I found an illustration done by John Hendrix for the USAA magazine. The magazine is from my insurance company/credit card agency and it always has interesting illustrations amid the finance tips. I had torn out his illustration about insurance disasters because I thought it was clever and athestically attractive. I finally googled him and discovered John Hendrix's blog, Drawing on Deadline, and I'm even more enamored! I wish I was on his Christmas card list so I could get the reindeer drive-in card.
